New! A taxidermy mount of Narrow-lined puffer (Arothron manilensis)

Darwin museum is happy to announce a new replenishment of taxidermy collection - Narrow-lined puffer. The Darwin museum taxidermist, Valentina Koubanina has recently finished working on this beautiful fish, made from materials provided by oceanarium No.1, Trade Centre “RIO”, Moscow.

Narrow-lined puffer or striped pufferfish (Arothron manilensis, Marion de Procé, 1822) – is a rather small fish, growing not bigger than 30 cm found in tropical waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans.

It is also known to live in river mouths, coral reefs and lagoons. Narrow-lined puffer prefers seaweeds and sandy bottom. Young fish choose mangroves to grow up in.
