Location:
museum exhibition halls / 5th floor / exhibition hall No. 11 (greenhouse)
The
exhibition is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the sculptor Vladimir
Chibisov, a member of the Association of Moscow Sculptors, the Moscow and
Russian Unions of Artists. The exhibition will bring together real and
fantastic animals and birds from a wide variety of materials under one roof:
marble, granite, limestone, copper, bronze, steel, wood, ceramics, porcelain.
Even a “waste” stone in the hands of a talented sculptor takes on an artistic
form and turns into an amazing creation of nature.
“The material
of a sculpture is always both a discovery and a mystery. How will he behave at
work? What about in space? And in dialogue with the form? But there is also the
secret of combining materials with each other, there is also the secret of the
meeting of volume with color and graphics. And the longer you touch the
material, the boundless the field of its possibilities and new mysteries.” V.
